Dr. Erik Fitzgerald

Dr. Fitzgerald grew up in suburban Washington, DC and still has plenty of family there, but he decided it was time to move West after taking a wonderful trip to Colorado. Today, he’s proud to be helping patients smile brighter here at Evergreen Dental Group! Keep reading below if you’d like to learn more about him.

Dr. Fitzgerald achieved his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Mary Washington in Virginia. He then spent a full decade at the Johns Hopkins University, researching the effects of drugs on fetal development, before realizing that he had a passion for medical science and art. He chose to pursue his dental doctorate at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, graduating in 2014. During this time, he was awarded honors in both oral surgery/implant placement and prosthodontics.

In 2015, Dr. Fitzgerald completed an in-depth General Practice Residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, treating patients in the dental chair, the operating room, and even bedside. He performed a wide variety of complex procedures during this residency, including in-depth rehabilitation/surgery for cancer treatment and reconstruction after extreme facial trauma.

When Dr. Fitzgerald isn’t busy caring for teeth, his favorite hobbies include mountain biking, backpacking, woodworking, and rebuilding/modifying cars. He’s also a classical pianist and can play the drums too!

Dr. Scott Gordon

Dr. Gordon lived all over as an Army brat in his earlier years, but today, he is proud to call Colorado his home. He has been a member of the Evergreen team since 2011. What he enjoys most about his role as one of our dedicated dentists is being able to experience the joy and satisfaction of transforming a patient’s life by restoring their oral health, whether through providing preventive care, eliminating pain, creating a custom restoration, or helping them overcome cosmetic concerns. Growing up, Dr. Gordon’s grandfather and aunt were both dentists. During his college years, he decided to work as a chairside dental assistant to see if oral healthcare was a profession that fit his interests and talents as well – and it did! Over a decade later, he’s never regretted his career path for a second. Dentistry is still a family affair too, as his father-in-law is an orthodontist who also works here in Evergreen, CO.

Dr. Gordon completed his undergraduate degree at Creighton University before pursuing his DMD at the Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. Following graduation, he was commissioned as an officer in the US Army and practiced as a Brigade Dentist, which included a one-year deployment to Iraq. There, he cared for thousands of active soldiers and earned a Meritorious Service Medal. Since getting out of the Army, he has received advanced training in a variety of dental services, including Invisalign, dental implant placement/restoration, and the Pinhole Gum Surgical Technique. He is a current member of the American Dental Association and the Colorado Dental Association.

Dr. Gordon and his beautiful wife have two boys together. When he isn’t busy improving smiles, he enjoys hiking with his family, reading a good book, going 4-wheeling, camping, and watching movies. He’s also scuba certified and has his pilot’s license!

Dr. Holly Nartker

Dr. Nartker says that the best feeling in the world is helping a patient become healthy while giving them a smile that fills them with confidence. She loves how dentistry allows her to seamlessly mix science and art while serving the community. A dental veteran with over a decade of experience, she’s thrilled to be a part of the excellent team here at Evergreen Dental Group, and before you meet her in person, you can learn a little more about Dr. Nartker below.

Dr. Nartker knew that she wanted to help people smile from an early age (she even had her mom put braces on her Cabbage Patch doll!). When she was 4, her mother went back to school for her dental hygiene degree. Dr. Nartker remembers this amazing project where she had to make a model of the facial muscles out of clay. Once her mom graduated, she started working for a phenomenal dentist who treated Dr. Nartker. This introduction to dentistry at an early age made her realize that she could create something with her hands that could improve people’s lives, and before she knew it, her path was set.

Dr. Nartker is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry (Go Blue!). Since graduating, she has completed many continuing education courses and has been involved with various study clubs to enhance and expand her treatment planning and restorative skills.

Dr. Nartker is married and has two young children, a boy and a girl. Her days off are all about spending time with her family. They love to go on adventures together, whether this involves hiking in the mountains or visiting a museum or zoo. At home, she likes to cook and try new foods, and she recently started gardening as well.

Dr. Joseph Burns, DDS

Dr. Burns grew up in Deerfield, Illinois but his love for the outdoors brought him to Colorado. In 2014 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin Madison. In 2018 he attended Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI. where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, graduating with highest honors, Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Burns then attended one of the nation’s most prestigious residency programs at The South Texas Veteran’s Healthcare System where he received an Advanced Education in General Dentistry.

Dr. Burns is passionate about transforming smiles and changing lives through advanced, patient-centered dentistry. He combines cutting-edge technology with a warm, personalized approach to deliver exceptional results for every patient.

As one of only four dentists in Colorado certified in the revolutionary 3 on 6™ implant procedure, Dr. Burns offers a life-changing alternative to dentures—providing patients with permanent, functional, and beautiful new smiles. This has become a core focus of his practice, allowing him to help patients regain confidence and long-term oral health.

Outside the office, Dr. Burns enjoys exploring the mountains with his wife, Kelly, their two daughters, Zoey and Remy, and their dog, Batman.

Dr. Sara Qadi

Dr. Sara Qadi, a Board-Certified Periodontist, was born and raised in the Midwest. She attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City, earning her bachelor’s degree in chemistry and, subsequently, her doctorate. She completed her postgraduate training in periodontal surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she also served as a clinical and course instructor to predoctoral students.

Through her research and clinical experience, Dr. Qadi has developed a strong foundation in esthetic and reconstructive periodontics, including gum grafting, extractions, bone grafting, and dental implant therapy.

With a reputation for excellence and a dedication to patient-centered care, Dr. Qadi is deeply committed to evidence-based practice, continually integrating the latest research and techniques into her treatment approach to deliver the highest quality care. She is also board-certified by the American Academy of Periodontology, a testament to her expertise and dedication to her field.

Dr. Qadi has completed several research projects and has been published in various peer-reviewed dental journals, particularly on inflammation around dental implants. She is a laser-certified specialist and has presented at numerous conferences, including the Southwest Society of Periodontists, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Midwest Dental Conference.

Dr. Qadi is a woman of many interests when not in the office. She enjoys staying active with activities such as pickleball, gardening, and horseback riding. She also practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. But above all, she cherishes spending quality time with her family, including a feisty Pomeranian named Giovanni. These personal interests reflect her balanced approach to life and work.

Dr. Zane Khattak

Dr. Zane Khattak is originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Colorado State University, majoring in Environmental Health and minoring in Chemistry. He later attended the University of Colorado, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following graduation, Dr. Khattak completed a residency program at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio, TX, where he received advanced training in general dentistry.

Dr. Khattak is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality dental care, combining his extensive education and residency experience to ensure comprehensive and compassionate treatment for every patient. Outside the clinic, Dr. Khattak enjoys golfing, snowboarding, hiking, backpacking, and fishing, fully embracing the adventurous spirit that Colorado offers.
