Dr. Erik Fitzgerald

Originally from suburban Washington, DC, Dr. Erik Fitzgerald made the move west after falling in love with Colorado's beauty and outdoor lifestyle. He joined Evergreen Dental Group in 2016 and became a practice owner in 2022. He has been passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through compassionate, personalized care. He values building lasting relationships with his patients and takes pride in creating comfortable experiences while delivering high-quality dentistry.

Dr. Fitzgerald earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Mary Washington in Virginia before spending ten years at Johns Hopkins University conducting research on the effects of drugs on fetal development. It was there that he discovered his passion for combining medical science with the artistry of dentistry.

He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, graduating in 2014 with honors in both Oral Surgery and Implant Placement and Prosthodontics. Following dental school, Dr. Fitzgerald completed an intensive General Practice Residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2015, where he provided care in the dental clinic, operating room, and at patients' bedsides.

During his residency, Dr. Fitzgerald performed a wide variety of complex procedures, including comprehensive dental rehabilitation for cancer patients and reconstructive treatment following severe facial trauma. His extensive training allows him to provide exceptional care across a broad range of dental treatments, always with a focus on precision, comfort, and long-term oral health.

When he's not in the office, Dr. Fitzgerald embraces Colorado's adventurous spirit. He enjoys mountain biking, backpacking, woodworking, and rebuilding and modifying cars. A talented musician, he is also a classically trained pianist and enjoys playing the drums. Whether he's creating something in his workshop, exploring the mountains, or helping patients transform their smiles, Dr. Fitzgerald brings creativity, attention to detail, and enthusiasm to everything he does.
