The 3 on 6™ procedure is a full-arch tooth replacement solution that restores all of the teeth using six dental implants and three bridges. This treatment is designed to provide patients with permanent, fixed teeth while preserving healthy jawbone and maintaining a natural-looking gum line.

The Science Behind the Smile
During surgery, the patient’s bone is preserved and enhanced through grafting, supporting improved healing, recovery, and long-term oral health.
Six titanium implants are placed in the dental arch using guided surgical techniques. These implants fuse with the jawbone through a process called osseointegration, creating a strong and stable foundation.
A full arch of temporary teeth is placed the same day as surgery to provide cross-arch stabilization, protecting the implants as they heal.
The natural gum tissue is preserved and heals around the implants, forming keratinized tissue that helps prevent infection and creates a more natural, esthetic appearance.
Once healing is complete, the temporary teeth are replaced with segmented bridges, allowing for more natural jaw movement and continued bone-preserving stimulation.

Meet Dr. Joseph Burns
Dr. Burns grew up in Deerfield, Illinois but his love for the outdoors brought him to Colorado. In 2014 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin Madison. In 2018 he attended Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI. where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, graduating with highest honors, Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Burns then attended one of the nation’s most prestigious residency programs at The South Texas Veteran’s Healthcare System where he received an Advanced Education in General Dentistry.

Implant Surgery
On the day of surgery, you’ll go to sleep and wake up with your implants in place and a beautiful set of temporary teeth in your mouth. You’ll leave our office with instructions for a quick recovery.
Final Teeth
After healing, you’ll return to our office and we will replace your temporary teeth with a beautiful set of zirconia bridges. Your 3 on 6TMM teeth are strong, stain-resistant, and never have to be removed for cleanings!

While both treatments replace an entire arch of teeth using dental implants, 3 on 6™ offers several advantages. It uses six implants instead of four for better stability and bite force distribution, preserves natural gum tissue instead of using artificial pink gums, provides healthier bone stimulation, requires shorter recovery time, and never needs to be removed for cleaning. All-on-4 restorations typically must be removed annually by a dentist for professional cleaning.
Am I a good candidate for 3 on 6™?
Most adults missing all or most of their teeth in an arch are candidates for 3 on 6™. Ideal candidates have reasonable jawbone density and good overall health. Will I leave with teeth the same day as surgery?

How long does the entire 3 on 6™ process take?
The complete process typically takes three to six months from consultation to final restoration. After your initial consultation, we'll schedule your surgery and place the implants and temporary teeth in a single day. Over the next several months, your jawbone fuses with the implants through osseointegration. Once healing is complete, we'll replace your temporaries with your permanent zirconia bridges.
Do I need to remove my 3 on 6™ teeth for cleaning?
No. Unlike traditional dentures or All-on-4 restorations, your 3 on 6™ bridges are permanently fixed and never need to be removed for cleaning at home or during dental visits. You simply brush and floss like you would natural teeth, with no adhesives, soaking solutions, or harsh chemicals required.
Will my 3 on 6™ teeth look natural?
Absolutely. Because 3 on 6™ preserves your natural gum tissue rather than covering it with artificial pink acrylic, the final result looks remarkably lifelike.
